Advance Human Health and Wellness via WELL Projects
The International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) is leading the movement around the world to change the way we build in ways that will help people live better. In 2014, the organization developed the WELL Building Standard that focuses on ways that buildings and their interior spaces can improve our comfort, health and wellness.
The WELL Standard addresses environmental health, human behavior and demographic risk factors to set best-practice guidelines for building. WELL establishes requirements across eight concepts that address the design and operation of buildings, and how they impact human behaviors related to health and well-being. The concepts include air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort, the mind and innovation.
Perforated Products Can Meet the WELL Standard
Perforated products specifically help improve air and water quality, control light to maximize productivity, enhance thermal comfort, and mitigate acoustic issues that cause noise, distraction and diminish creative thinking. In addition to being environmentally friendly, perforated metal design, such as found in walls or staircases, is visually impressive, and its unique beauty helps calm our minds, improving emotional health.
